Vision Examinations and General Eye Care
Regular comprehensive eye exams are necessary in the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and eye disease. Our doctors and staff are highly qualified to care for the health of your eyes.
Patients with diabetes should have annual eye health examinations. Diabetics are at a higher risk for developing eye diseases that initially cause no vision loss or pain. Significant damage may be done to the eyes by the time a diabetic patient notices any visual symptoms.
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness and visual impairment. There are usually no noticeable symptoms, and regular eye examinations can detect the disease. With early detection and treatment, glaucoma can usually be controlled and blindness prevented.
Children should have their first eye exam before entering Kindergarten. Thorough eye exams are essential in detecting vision problems. Early detection allows for treatment to begin before a child experiences difficulty in school due to poor vision or other vision related perceptual disorders.

Our office is equipped with the state-of-the-art Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System. This gives our doctors a more comprehensive view of your retina and enables our doctors to assess your retinal health without dilating your eyes. The Optomap is a fast, easy procedure that makes your eye exam less time consuming and more convenient.
Eyeglasses
Milan Eye Clinic has an extensive optical shoppe with a large frame selection. We also have our own optical laboratory on the premises to ensure that you will receive your stylish prescription glasses promptly and accurately. All types of specialty lenses such as ultra-thin lenses, Transitions and no-line bifocal lenses are available.
Contact Lenses
Many types of contact lenses are available to our patients such as disposable, toric (for astigmatism), bifocal and colored contacts. Our most frequently prescribed brands such as Acuvue are kept in stock for your convenience. Our doctors will make sure that your lenses fit properly and give you the best vision possible. Discussion of your individual needs will aid our doctors in fitting you in the contact lenses that are precisely for you.
Cataract Surgery
A cataract is a cloudy area in the normally clear lens inside your eye. They cannot be prevented from forming, but early detection through regular eye exams can help maintain the clearest vision possible. In many cases, surgery is needed to remove cataracts and clearly restore vision. Our doctors work closely with capable and highly skilled ophthalmologists nearby who will perform your surgery, if needed. You will be able to have your post-operative checkups with our doctors at Milan Eye Clinic.
LASIK
Ask our doctors about laser surgery used to correct nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsightedness. Our doctors can tell you if you are a good candidate for this procedure and will refer you to an experienced ophthalmologist nearby for a consultation. Patients who elect to have this surgery will be able to have post-operative checkups here at Milan Eye Clinic.
